For writers of any level who already have a body of work. Focus is on workshopping in rotating format, selected readings, and discussion of craft. Community support.

3 hrs additional 1-1 Mentorship/Coaching with Angel is available at an additional but discounted workshop rate. Recommended for writers seeking focused 1-1 support with their written work between classes and/or an interest in publishing. See products and select Workshop Add-On to add this service.

Join us in this space where queer writers of all levels can develop their voices in community. Welcome to the Queer Poetry Workshop!

Mondays 6:30-8pm PST on Zoom, July 13-August 17, 2026

This 6-Week workshop centers on LGBTQ+ writers and writing:

Weeks 1 & 2: Generation of creative written work, writing prompts, reading/writing discussion

Weeks 3 & 4: Workshopping in Community

Week 5: Special Genre Week

Week 6: Showcase of Written Work

Classes are Collaborative and Process Oriented

All course materials are included in the cost of the workshop

Participants are encouraged to pair up outside of class for additional support, collaboration, and development between sessions

About Angel

Angel (he/they) is a writer and educator who holds their MFA in Creative Writing and MA in English from San Francisco State University.

They are a poet and cross-genre writer whose work has been featured in A Thin Slice of Anxiety, and SongFest. They are former Assistant Fiction Editor of 14 Hills Literary Magazine, and were recently a featured reader at Queerly Spoken, a Night of Poetry through the Marin LGBTQ Center. Angel will appear on Living Proof, a look into the lives of queer people, on KRCB radio July 5th 2026 at 8pm!

After living in San Francisco for 15 years, Angel now lives in San Rafael, California, and is amazed at the amount of wild turkeys there are everywhere.

Angel is passionate about building writing and queer communities equally, and live for moments of inspiration in themselves and others.

They look forward to creating with you!
